Can you believe he's 2!? Everytime a birthday rolls around it makes me stop and think back to the beginning. We welcomed Easton into this world on Januarary 26th 2010. After letting my water leak for a few days (not knowing) we checked into the hospital. With a few coughs... not pushes he was born.
Here are some pictures from the beginning.....
On his actual birthday I had planned a VERY special day for him. He woke up to find balloons and a life size Elmo balloon.
Easton LOVES muffins....
After breakfast I told the boys I'd take them swimming.
Then we went to the gym to play some basketball.
Easton proudly showed off the shirt I made him.
We had a busy morning and we were all hungry for lunch. So we went to their favorite spot, Culvers. The boys did so well there that we had 2 different groups of people stop at our table to tell me what good boys I had. Wow, did they have them fooled! Easton even went on the potty for a second time that day there. Now that was a sight. Me with the 3 boys in the bathroom helping two of them. That's when I could've use a second set of hands.
While Easton napped Spencer helped me make Easton's cake.
Then it was Easton's turn to help decorate the cupcakes for his class....
The boys worked out to the game Uncle JB gave Easton.
Finally the brithday boy got to open some presents...
We had a quick birthday dinner....
Before heading off to music class....
We came home and had brithday cake.
The boys and their momma were worn out from the busy day!
The next day Easton celebrated his brithday at school with his friends. His teachers made him a hockey crown....
So, about our now 2 year old! I had his quarter confrence with his teachers this week. He scored all high marks. He can run, kick a ball, turn pages in a book, use a cup and spoon, say a ton of words and is using them to put sentences together. The only area he didn't get a high remark is showing empathy for others. They said it can take a few minutes to get him to say he's sorry but he knows right away when he does something wrong. What a stinker!
In the new room that Easton will be moving into this week they will be working on potty training. He's been visiting the room and already doing really well going on the potty!
Here are some things he likes:
Food: Milk! That's pretty much it. I guess if you consider sweets and snacks food then he likes anything that has chocolate in it. He does like green beans, yogurt and cereal. But honestly the kid would live off a milk if he could!
Oh yes he loves the gerber puffs. I found him pouring himself a snack one day.
Toys: He loves anything Spencer has. He has hockey players and baseball players that he likes to play with. Magna tiles, books, play doh, coloring, music (he likes to sing and dance) and his new Mickey Mouse space ship.
We can't forget how much he LOVES his blanket!
Here are some other pictures from the week.....
Grandpa John and Grandma Julie sent Easton a package....
Uncle JB came over to play with the birthday boy....
Spencer thought mixing his green beans and applesauce tasted good.
Nolan tried bananas. He wasn't a fan.
Then warmed up with hot chocalate and lunch!
Nolan LOVES his jumparoo
but it sure tires him out!
Saturday we had my work Christmas party.
Sadly while we were out Easton got his first major injury. He burnt his hand on the stove. It looks sore but it doesn't even seem to phase him. He is our accident prone child!
Thanks to my family for helping us celebrate Easton's birthday with a bowling party.
Auntie comes up with some of the best themed gifts! A superman cape, shoes and sweatshirt! Thanks Auntie!
