MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
We hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and were able to spend time with friends or family.Ryan, the boys and I all feel very blessed this year. We had so much fun watching the boys take it all in. This will be a quick update with a lot of pictures....
Grandma Nancy sent a Christmas box of fun little toys and treats.
Nolan got his first taste of real food. He tried squash for the first time.
While he had squash, the boys got to have a christmas treat. Ice cream with red, white and green sprinkles.

Ever wonder what it's like to have a child in your house. There are toys everywhere and you never know what you will find in the strangest places!
Spencer got his hair cut and he started to fall asleep in the chair. I think at one point he was even asleep.
The boys made us gifts at daycare.

Friday night we got ready for Santa to come.
We got out cookies for Santa....
We put water and carrots out for the raindeer.....
and the boys put on their Christmas pjs.
While the boys were fast asleep waiting for Santa to come, we had a sitter come stay with them so we could sneak away to a Christmas party in Eau Claire. Grandma gave Grandpa an early Cancun Christmas present.

Spencer was the first one up Christmas Eve morning. Spencer was so excited to see Santa had brought him a lot of presents. He said to me "I thought I was on the naughty list .... but I was on the nice list!" I laughed and then felt bad that he had thought he was on the naughty list.
Once Easton was up they looked to see if Santa had eaten their cookies and if the reindeer drank the water.
When the boys looked outside they noticed 2 presents had fallen out of Santa's sleigh.
They finished off the cookies Santa didn't eat.
Then it was present time. Spencer couldn't go fast enough and Easton wanted to open and play with each toy before moving onto the next.
The best gift. I got a neckless with my boys intials on one side and their finger prints on the other.
Even Nolan got gifts.
Mrs. Clause got the 4 boys a gift... an Xbox. The most expensive gift and it got the least reaction. But if you ask Spencer what he got for Christmas he will tell you a slinky.
After we opened presents we took Easton to the pond by our house and he got to try out his skates for the first time. He had not a clue what to do and didn't want to move at first. He could hardly walk in the skates but refused ot take them off after awhile and put his boots on. When Ryan came back Spencer was pouting that he didn't get to skate for very long and when I asked him why he said "Because Easton was freaking out!"
Ryan and Spencer tried making a gingerbread house to bring to Grandma's but Spencer was a little too excited about it and broke a few pieces and it wouldn't stay together...
In the afternoon we packed up and headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for the Market Christmas.
The boys LOVE playing dress up at Grandma's. I think this costume is supposed to be for Hadley when she gets older but he makes a pretty cute Lady Bug! I always wonder what it would be like if I had a girl.
On Christmas morning I had to take Spencer to the ER. He had been up on and off during the night complaing of ear pain. Sure enough had an ear infection. Even with a hurting ear he still wanted to play hockey on the lake. You know he's not feeling well though when he comes in after a little bit and takes about a 3 hour nap.

Easton and Finley played together while Spencer napped. Finley taught Easton how to use the ipad.
Every year we do gag gifts. Each of us (adults) draw a name and you can only spend $20.00 on a gift. It has to fit the person's personality. I made Grandma a snuggie for future hockey games. Ryan made me little signs to wear around my neck to tell him what kind of a mood I'm in. Patrick gave Ryan a home vasectomy kit. Grandma gave Heather a singing buck (none of us but Grandma really understand this gift.) Grandpa gave Patrick a Cancun survival kit. But the funniest of them all was the gift Heather gave my dad. Hair!
After the gag gifts it was time to open presents. It was a crazy mess and I missed half the stuff the boys opened but it was fun. We are very thankful for all the great gifts we got this year. Grandma and Grandpa truly spoil us and our kids! Thank You!
I was super excited about Hadley's gift this year. Her first American girl doll. I realize it's a bit old for her but I couldn't resist.

While we cleaned up Nolan and Hadley played on the floor together. They are almost the same size even though Hadley is 6 weeks older.
I had been talking to Spencer leading up to Christmas that after Christmas was over and the start of the new year he was going to stop wearing pull ups at night and instead wear underwear. He took me very serious and on Christmas night he told me no more pull ups. I wasn't quite ready but he did well the fist night and only had a damp spot. We'll see how it goes from here!
