Easton is no longer our baby but is officially a toddler now. I plan to make this post mostly about him. I know they say as you get older that time speeds up but honestly I just can't believe Easton is a year already. I feel like it was a month ago that we brought him home.
So lets review the last year......
January 25, 2010 we made a call to the clinic I had been leaking fluid for the past two days and was starting to wonder if it was my water or if I had just lost control of my bladder. After checking into the hospital we learned that we would be staying and having a baby in the next 24 hours!
One of the last belly shots. Around 35 weeks.
Easton was born on January 26 at 1:48 pm. We quickly agreed on Easton for a name and couldn't wait to introduce him to his big brother.

He woke up Wednesday morning and got to have his first glass of whole milk.
Uncle JB came over to help celebrate his birthday.
Followed by some birthday cake.
Happy Birthday Easton!
So what is our little 1 year old up to?
Sleeping:
*He sleeps about 12+ hours at night going down around 7:00 pm and getting up around 8:30 am.
*His morning naps are hit and miss and usually last just under an hour. His afternoon naps can last anywhere from an hour to three.
*Starting now this week in daycare he has to start sleeping on a cot. This is going to be a challenge as he is still in the infant room and there isn't a strict sleep time in that room. Normally he would have moved up to the next room already but due to rooms being filled he is stuck until March so they are making some new adjustments. Friday he only napped 20 minutes all day, so needless to say he was in bed at 5:30 pm.
Eating:
*He basically eats anything and everything we do. He is a BIG eater now that he's feeling better again. He gets super excited when you give him his food and can't seem to get it in his mouth fast enough.
*The biggest change NO MORE BOTTLES! Well, he still gets a night time bottle as I'm trying to finish up the formula but during the day he only get's whole milk in a sippy cup. He's doing great!
Milestones:
*He's back to our VERY happy little boy. He loves to laugh and mostly at the things Spencer does. Spencer loves to entertain him.
*He's so close to taking his first step. Both of us and daycare feel like we've seen him try to take a step but it wasn't enough to really call it a step and neither of us have seen him do it again.
*He loves to shake his head "no" but I don't think he really knows why he is doing it.
*He's good at mimicing what his brother does.
*Standing is his favorite. He can stand up on his own for a long period of time and just looks around.
*He knows right from wrong. He knows he shouldn't play in Zoey's water dish and he will stop before he gets to the dish and look at you waiting for you to take it away.
*He still says dada but no momma yet. He makes a lot of noises and sounds but no real words yet.
*His fovorite things to do are play "peek a boo," clap, and be tickled.
*He is still our climber and I found him up on a table almost about to knock a lamp over. I'm really going to keep my eye out for him.
*He will let you know if he's mad or doesn't get his way about something. He will throw tantrums now or fuss and cry letting you know he's not happy.
*He's very lovable. He likes to snuggle with his blanket and is always leaning into your face for hugs and kisses. He can also be more on the shy side if strangers start talking to him.
*He now knows when I'm about to leave and starts crawling and crying for the door. He doesn't like to be left a lone. He would prefer if you just chased him all the time.
Easton has been such a blessing to all of us. We are lucky he's part of your family and we continue to love him more and more everyday. Our boys mean everything to us.
Here are a few pictures from other things we did this week.
Gavin came over to play.
We had a playdate at the giggle factory.
I thought Ryan would be thrilled with these pictures. Both boys are doing their makeup with mom.
Next weekend we are having Easton's birthday party with our family and friends. So with that and the Super Bowll I'm not going to make any promises for a post!
GO PACK GO!
