Sorry!

Still won't be posting for a bit. Our week started out great and then the computer broke, we found out Zoey has cancer and now I'm on call tomorrow for work. So I can't upload any pictures to my computer from the camera cause it's in the shop. I promise I will be back to fill you in on everything. Just not this weekend.

Parks and ENT Doctor

With the temps getting a bit cooler outside I'm getting nervous for fall / winter to come. We are trying to take advantage of being able to go to parks and play because we know it will only be a matter of time and we will be stuck indoors.

Spencer loves riding his bike to the park by our house. Thankfully it only takes about 5 minutes because I have no idea whats going on between Easton and Nolan in the trailer but every once in awhile I hear whining and crying.

I love that Nolan is walking more and more each day.

My neighbor took us to a new park. I was a little overwhelmed at first because there was a YMCA day camp at the park. It's hard keeping track of the boys to begin with but add another 30+ kids and I felt screwed. Thankfully I was there with a few friends so we all kept track of everyone's kids.

After our trip to the park we tested out the new frozed yogurt place. The boys had fun making their own sundaes.

We attended a going away party this weekend. Jenny and Luke will be moving to China with their kids Hattie, Mason and Gabe. Gabe is my godson. They will be gone for a year to teach. We don't get to see them often but always look forward to the basketball games in the winter and summer concerts. We hope they have safe travels and I can't wait to hear about all of their adventures.

The boys spent the rest of the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa while Ryan and I relived our college years with some of our friends. Let's just say we had fun revisiting our college years but there is no way I could do that every weekend. The kids had a blast going to the airport looking at all the planes and Spencer got to try water skiing again.

Medical Updates:
Easton went to see the ENT doctor again this week. Since he was being treated for strep and was on antibiotics, his ear with the tube in it started draining. The doctor pointed out that this isn't the first time but more like the 5th time. It was time for us to consider having his tonsils and adnoids taken out along with getting a new set of tubes. I went to the appointment knowing that this would be our plan. We have struggled with his ears and illnesses over the last year and we haven't even hit the cold and flu season yet. I have vacation time coming up so what better way for us to spend our 9th wedding anniversary then sitting in the hospital waiting for Easton to come out of surgery. I know the recovery will be hard and I'm sad that he has to go through it, but I know in the end it will be better.

Onto Nolan. I'm getting ready to call the ENT doctor for him. He's had 3 back to back ear infections. When he had his 1 year check up we talked about keeping an eye on things and switching to soy products. This weekend he spiked a temp again and both ears are infected. He had only been off the antibiotics for a few days. I'm so frustrated with our kids and their bad ears.

This week Uncle JB was up here appartment hunting. We found out he took a job in the cities and will be living here again. Spencer is excited for a sleep over at his apartment.

1 Year Check Up

The boys must have been feeling bad that I was home sick on Monday so they sent me some flowers. I'm a lucky mom!



Nolan had his 1 year check up. He was 23 pounds 3 ounces (70%) and 30 inches long (50%.) Overall he checked out great. The doctor thought his torticollis looked better but there is still a slight tilt. He was happy to see that he was walking and doing all the things a 1 year old should be doing. We talked about his ears and the fact that Nolan will sometimes spit up curdled milk. He used to be on soy formula and took zantac for reflux. He no longer is on the medication and I have him on whole milk. We made the decision to try Nolan on soy milk. It's going to be kind of a pain to take his milk everywhere and limit the dairy in his diet but it's worth a shot. We have an appointment in 6 weeks to follow up.

 While I had Nolan at the clinic Hadley and Grandma came up to keep the older two boys busy. Easton is in love with Hadley and likes showing her all of his toys.

It was national night out this week so the boys and I made cookies. The best part is to lick the beaters.

We enjoyed a nice evening grilling out with the neighbors and allowing the kids to play. Our soon to be newest neighbors even came so they could meet everyone.

Sam and his family will be moving in next door. Both Spencer and Sam are super excited that they will get to play together all the time.

This week Spencer and I were off to the dentist. We both had appointments. It was Spencer's turn first and he did awesome. Opening his mouth wide for her and showing off how he brushes his teeth. He's loves showing everyone how his teeth are nice and clean with no sugar bugs.

As a reward the dentist gives out coupons for free kids meals at burger king. So Spencer and I had a lunch date together. I forgot how easy it is to have 1 child who is pretty independent.

We also met my friend Laurie with her 2 girls at the park for a quick play date.

 I know this picture will make Ryan proud. I thought it was kind of funny and cute.

The boys are still in love with the neighbor girls so they were excited roast marshmallows with them.

My friend Amanda and I ran in the Gopher to Badger 5k race this weekend. It was my first timed race. Our goal was to finish in under 30 min and I'm proud to say we both did it.

I'm going to say breakfast with the 3 boys after was more of a challenge then the race.

 Spencer keeps asking to race and run with me. So when we got home Ryan made him a number to pin on his shirt and they raced. He was so proud to say he finished first. We may have a future track and field star!
