Exciting News!

I wondered how long it would take before Spencer realized when he went off to school that 2 days a week his brothers get to stay home. I typically don't mention the things I have planned for Easton and Nolan that day because I don't want Spencer to feel bad. Well it took until this past week. He's starting to whine in the mornings that he's too tired or wants a stay home day. I should point out that they've hardly had a full week of school since Xmas break so I don't feel THAT bad for him!

It was tumbling day at the Y. I'm not sure how I would ever survive without the local Y. We spend a lot of time there burning off energy!

Easton decided he wanted a sleeve of tattoos. I'm just thankful these wash off after a few days. 

School can be rough some days. I asked Spencer just moments before this picture was taken if he was tired. He told me "No." Apparently I was right when I told him his eyes looked tired. I love how he likes to snuggle in.

Spencer had his last practice/game of the season on Saturday. His skating has gotten so much better from the start of the season. He loves hockey but it will be nice not to have to rush out the door on Saturday mornings. We are so proud of him!

Grandma and Grandpa came up to watch. Grandma brings enough layers to keep her warm in below zero temps! I will admit that the rink Spencer typically plays in is pretty cold!

As a special treat parents got to go out and skate with their kids for the last 30 minutes. It was my turn to take the ice. Nolan and Easton came with while I got ready.

These are my moral support friends. We all have 3 boys who play or will play hockey.

As if they didn't get enough hockey for one day. Ryan took them to the varsity Raider's game.

I'm on call this weekend so Ryan took the boys to one of their favorite spots for lunch! 

He still loves snowboarding. We happen to have a great hill from all the snow being piled up at the end of the cul-de-sac. Ryan even made him a fun little path to go down.

Now the exciting news! Ryan and a business partner are opening a Sporting Goods store in Hudson! They've been working hard at this for months, and announced to the city of Hudson this past week they're coming this spring! We'll provide more details as they get closer to opening.

Nolan Goes To The Movies!

Look who's famous! Or at least we like to think so. Spencer made the YMCA Summer Camp brochure. He's so excited he's in a magazine!

Buzz Light Year has been roaming around our house....

Or maybe it's just Nolan with buzz wings on.

Spencer's teacher told the kids one day that one of their classmates doesn't celebrate Valentine's Day and requested that kids didn't bring one for her. Spencer was confused and sad that she wouldn't be getting any. He asked if he could draw her a picture the day before instead. This was what he drew her. He also asked if he could put a quarter in it but I said no so he settled for a sucker. Technically isn't not a valentine just a gift from a friend.

Notice there are only 2 valentines sticking up on 2 chairs. I bet you can guess who got theirs taken away before they even had a chance to open it.

 Easton and I attempted to make cake pops. I thought how hard could it be?

HARD!!! They are stuck in the pan! Stupid Pinterest makes everything look easy.

I went to Spencer's class to help with their class party. I noticed this cloud floating above Spencer's picture on the cupboard..... I love that he put "Learn how to listen." I say that's a good goal for Kindergarten.

 I'm so lucky I can attend these fun events. It seems like Spencer is growing up before our eyes. There will be a day when he will think mom coming to school isn't cool!

In their Valentine bags I gave the boys silly string. I agreed to allowing them to spray them at each other this weekend. We cleared out the kitchen so they had lots of room.

 They had so much fun. Nolan wasn't really sure what to think.

 It also created a mess that the boys helped me clean up. I was happy to see they were willing to help in the clean up process!

Seriously when it's negative 10 all the time what else do you do but check out and play some games on the iPad! We are running out of winter activities.

I swore I wasn't going to put any kid games on my ipad so they wouldn't want to take it all the time. That lasted long!

Nolan had a 1st this weekend, we took him to his first movie! We saw The LEGO Movie. He actually did really well. He sat for all but 15-20 minutes of the movie. Thankfully his ticket is still free. We could go broke pretty quick if all 5 of us keep going to the theater.

I love spending one on one time with Easton. I feel like I get to see such a different side of him. One that isn't whining, yelling or throwing a tantrum about something.  I think he also enjoys his mommy alone time. It seems he prefers to be with me most of the time. 

Ok hockey moms or dads...what's your solution to drying out the equipment? Using our office isn't going to be an option once their stuff starts smelling bad!
