Christmas 2015

We started our week leading up to Christmas with Nolan getting pink eye. He didn't get the memo that I had too much to do before Christmas and needed him to be at school. Poor kid was board being stuck in the house with me for two full days. He got to watch movies….

We played 1,000 games.

Nolan played play doh and Spencer joined in on the fun after school.

Remember the gingerbread house I made last year?

Well this year I made a packer house.

Look who's peaking out the window.

I was even creative enough to make one with 3 rooms.

We added a few lights. Don't worry these ones don't get hot.

We are still in the thick of Hockey season. I get to as much as I can to watch them play but when we are juggling 3 kids it's not as easy.

Their hockey equipment is starting to smell. So I tempted washing it all. For a week I had hockey equipment hanging in the door way. I can't wait for a bigger laundry room at the new house!

Here are their 2015 hockey pictures.

Here's Nolan skating

Easton skating...

Spencer skating...

Here's a flash back to when Spencer was 2 and would play hockey in our basement. The stairs were his bench...

He had his goal set up...

And he would check himself into the furnace...

I was starting to worry that we were going to have a rainy Christmas. This is not what my backyard is supposed to look like in mid December.

In the mornings before school the boys would arrange and rearrange their presents.

Nolan had his Christmas concert at school.

Just hanging out.

I was irritated when the kid in front of Nolan showed up 15 min late and stood in front of him.

He was proud even though he didn't do much singing.

Our little Christmas Star.

Here are some videos of their Christmas program at church.

We had our final days with Chippy.

Nolan was giving me bunny ears to get Chippy to smile.

Ryan and I went to Sawyer Brown's Christmas concert. Thankfully he didn't play much of his Christmas music and stuck mostly to his classics. It was a fun night out.

We also meet up with some friends, also know as my "country family." I go to country music festivals with them in the summer.

Grandpa John and Grandma Julie came up from Texas to visit and celebrate Christmas. We took them to the Village Inn for pizza.

We had an action packed day the next day. We started with decorating ginger bread houses. Who ever thought to sell pre made ginger bread houses did me a big favor.

The finished products….

We set them out to nicely display them..

Only Josie got to them and ate/licked the candy off while I was wrapping presents.

We did some cookie baking/decorating...

We had some fantastic cookies!

Only Josie got to those also!

We celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa and opened gifts.

Grandpa and Grandma also got to see Spencer play during the periods at the varsity game. He had a big cheering section as my parents came up also. Look for #9.

Easton had a ginger bread party at school.

Grandma came up to help also.

Finally we got snow just in time for Christmas!

We attended the kid's service on Christmas Eve at church. They had live animals out front.

Nolan got to be a shepherd during the service.

Easton was a wise man.

Spencer just went up for the flashlight.

We went home to have our Christmas with the boys.

Each year we have the boys shop for each other picking out a gift for their brothers. I made them sit by the person who their gift was from and after opening it they had to give each other a hug and say thank you. It was pretty cute.

Josie had a good Christmas also. She got all kinds of toys and bones.

The boys are going to a Timberwolves game.

We attempted a family photo using the selfie stick. We tried to get Josie in it also..

The boys put out water, sprinkled reindeer food and carrots all over the yard for the reindeer.

They left what cookies we had for Santa.

The house was ready for them….

First up was Spencer. Well I'm not sure Spencer ever went to bed. He came in our room 3 times wondering if it was Christmas morning. At 5:30 I finally gave him my iPad and told him I would get him when it was time.

We finally had Spencer wake his brothers. First up Nolan...

Followed by Easton…..

Spencer wanted a real football helmet.

Easton wanted shopkins.

Nolan wanted the girl scout easy bake oven.

It was pure chaos and fun.

Santa had brought a few gifts for all 3 boys. Nolan had a hard time understanding this and ended up hoarding a present in the corner.

After santa gifts we loaded up the car to head to Grandma's….

The boys kicked off the day by teaching Finley how to play bean boozled. Its a game where you try a jelly belly and it could either taste yummy or gross.

Afterwards we had lunch. The kids wore comfy pi's all day

Took the traditional family photo….

Finally it was present time!

The littles took a break for santa cupcakes.

Easton got a keyboard.

Nolan wanted to be in the garbage bag of wrapping paper.

Ryan got a Packer beer pong table.

Our tradition is that the adults don't exchange gifts. Instead we do gag gifts. Here's this year's gifts.

Since Ryan and I will be building our 3rd house Patrick started a new home building company for me. I also got a block of wood that said sorry.. meaning he wasn't going to do the gag gift this year.

Grandpa got Heather a retired teacher gift.

I gave my mom the latest exercise for weight loss….

Heather gave Ryan a gift card present. There were tons of office supplies for his desk and each of them were decorated/made with gift cards. He also got a gift card tie, a photo of the boys spending their gift card at target and a picture of Auntie at Target.

Grandma gave Patrick a clock to help with his time management in the evening.

One of the boys favorite gifts is the Pie In The Face game. We had to try it out…..

After a busy but fun day it was time to load up and head home.

Easton was up till 10:00 pm playing with his shopkins.

The boys finished off their weekend by enjoying some time outside playing with our neighbors. Wish me luck that I survive these next handful of days home with them.
