Just Got Home

We just got home from our trip to Texas. I'm currently downloading photos and hope to have a post up later this week. We had a great trip and the boys are worn out!

Nolan's Birthday Party!

It was a big start of the week for Nolan. The poor guy had to get his tonsils and adenoids out. We stayed over at Grandma's so we could be to the hospital bright and early on Monday. It all went pretty quick but I guess that's what happens when you had 2 other kids get theirs out back to back years. 

He didn't mind being there but wanted nothing to do with the hospital gown. He went fine with the nurse back to the OR but refused to be on their bed. Here he is right before they left. He was a little sedated here...

I'm glad I have the picture to prove the tonsils came out because he has acted normal ever since. He wanted to eat and drink right away!

The only time he actually wanted to cuddle and rest was when he was sleeping off the sedation from the OR.

He was trying to smile for me to send a picture to Ryan...

We went back to Grandma's to recover for a bit and he found this toy in the thrift sale that Finley was getting rid of. It's now at our house.

Auntie had to take her phone to the Apple store at the MOA so she traded Hadley for Easton. I was a little worried because last time Hadley wanted nothing to do with me and I didn't want to spend all morning at Culver's. She was great as long as Nolan and Spencer were around.

They helped me get my grocery shopping done. They like to fight over what my name is. Hadley will call me Auntie and Nolan will say "She's not Auntie she's mommy." I then try to explain how I'm not Hadley's mom I'm her Aunt. He doesn't understand so over and over I hear this argument.

Auntie took Easton and Finley on rides after they went to the store. I think Easton was happy he got to go with her instead of staying home!

Nolan's been working on potty training around here. We had a big step in the right direction this week….

Spencer has been taking summer school classes this past week. He does a reading class, science, computer lab and a cooking class. He LOVES summer camp as he calls it. He's been teaching us how to make all the snacks they've had at school.

Spencer got a new a alarm clock. He wants so badly to use it every day. Yet you can see how well it works for him. It has the rest of us flying out of bed to shut it off.

We went to the Children's Museum one day after school. They have a big Thomas exhibit.

It was a nice day out so the outside area was open. The boys planted some seeds.

You have to love how gatorade stains their lips.

They also have a creative room. You can build, design and create. Do they look like future M&J employees?

The weather has been a little off and on this week with some rainy days. We remembered that Easton got a lemonade stand for his birthday. The boys have been playing with it inside the house.

They've also been putting on nightly "shows" for us. Easton does the introductions and Spencer comes up with an act. It's pretty cute watching them try to make it real.

Spencer got to go with Ryan to be the ball boy at Ryan's softball game.

Easton can sure pick out some cute trendy outfits! This is what he picked to wear to the store with Ryan.

Spencer created his own Ninja costume.

One minute he's taking on the world and the next he's sound asleep in the middle of the living room.

I'm starting to question Spencer's ability to fall asleep in an instant.

Mr. Nic's pool has been getting some good use this week. We played there after school one day and he invited us all over for a swimming party on Saturday. It's the perfect size for all the kids.

Yet they still love the trampoline.

I picked up some fresh strawberries. My hope was that we could make our own jam. I LOVE homemade jam. The boys had fun cutting of the tops of the strawberries.

They were also great mashers...

Sadly our jam didn't turn out. It's more like a yummy syrup.

This weekend we celebrated the littlest of the littles. Hadley turned 3 a fews weeks ago and Nolan will be 3 in a few weeks. We decided to join up and have their party together.

We had a fun time celebrating at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

So many of our friends traveled from Hudson to help celebrate.

The kids were ready to swim.

Grandma and Grandpa got a new water trampoline this year.

It was time for lunch.

Aunt Roz, Kari, Aunt Rachel, Uncle Matt, Caden, Noah and Grandpa Ron all made the trip to help us celebrate. The best part Grandpa Ron brought bubble gum! They were so excited to see all of them.

We sure love this little boy!

After lunch and before the rain came the kids did some quick tubing. Maggi will be 2 in August and she was ready to get in that tube. She went with Spencer and Finley and they showed her just what to do. She did great!

Next up Finley, Sam and Spencer….

 These pictures crack me up. Sam was a little scared this year and was crying, Finley was giving Grandpa the thumbs down and Spencer was in his glory wanting to go faster.

Spencer proved once again he can get up on skis.

Such a cute picture of the boys. Rory on the far left is Nolan's friend. They've always been in class together at LMLC. When you log into the camera it was always hard to tell if you were looking at Rory or Nolan cause of the blonde curly hair.

Nolan & Hadley always just seem to be in their own little world.

After everyone left and things got quiet we let them open their presents.

Spencer wouldn't let go of it all the way home and actually fell asleep in it. Ryan said it was his dream catcher!

He's getting to be such a big boy! I can't believe that in a few short weeks he will actually be 3! I know they don't realize or understand right now just how lucky they are, but I hope as they get older and they look back on their childhood and they think they had a great one with lots of people around them who love them.
