Spencer along with 3 of his friends went to Camp St. Croix for a week. This camp gets great reviews and Spencer will tell you himself he had a blast. They spend almost all day outside doing different activities. I can tell because every day his backpack, lunch bag and himself come home dirty! I'm glad they had a great time and it was nice to change things up a bit.

With Spencer away that left me with just 2 kids on my stay home days. Let me tell you 2 kids is WAY easier to take places then 3. It kind of makes me excited for when school starts and this is our week every week. I look forward to the days when life gets a little bit easier.
With our older kids away Jill and I got together and could even ride in one car together. We went to a park and later in the week we headed to a beach.
We had a lot of family time this week doing fun things. We took Spencer and Easton to the Twins game.

Next time we will be going through McDonald's on the way to the game. It was $60.00 to feed the 4 of us and we sat on the ground!

Silly Faces!
We also took all of the boys to a water park in Minnesota. We started out with a picnic lunch in the parking lot. This place was great with lots to do. They had big water slides, a lazy river, a regular zero entry pool and mini golf. I kept the camera in the bag most of the time and just enjoyed spending time in the water with the boys.
We found out Spencer isn't allergic to bee stings but he now knows a very important lesson in life. If you see a bee hive do not hit it with a stick. Poor guy got stung by 2 bees!

While Ryan did his NFL Fantasy Football draft we enjoyed another nice day at a different beach. I love going to the beach until it's time to clean up and head home. Ugh, I still HATE sand!
I wonder how many pounds of sand my kids have eaten this summer from all of our picnic lunches at the beach?
It's so much fun when you have friends with kids the same age and can spend time with them and watch all of the kids play together.

You might have to zoom in on this one but Easton comes to me and says "Look at my pink boobies!" He's got pink heart stickers on. Spencer followed suit then wondered where his guitar was and said "I want to be a real instrument player." I have no idea what gave them these ideas.
Feeling creative, they used magna tiles and made shoes/slippers.
It's nice when your kids wander over to the neighbors and they end up feeding them.

Again! We found him on the side of his bed. He must have fallen out and decided not to get back up in bed.

I was talking to a neighbor outside and Easton was supposed to be having quiet time. The next thing I know he's cruising down the street on his scooter. I knew the garage was down. When I walked home I found out how he got into the garage. His first attempt was by bringing their kid chairs outside to use the keypad. He doesn't know the code.
So he showed me how he stood on the garbage in the garage to push the button! Seriously can't trust that kid!
These boys make drinks like this extra tasty! We enjoyed a kid free dinner and Pepper Fest with friends.
Summer is slipping away and school is getting closer. Spencer had his year book picture taken and we signed him up for his first day, school lunch, before and after care. I also found out about the school's parent group meetings and school apparel. I'm not sure I'm ready for all of this! Until September 6th I'm going to try to fill our stay home days with lots of fun activities!
