On Monday I wanted to take the boys to the children's museum but when we got there I realized it was closed. Our back up plan was underwater world and the Mall of America.
The weather was nice during the week so we took advantage by grilling out. Spencer loves to be a big helper. He even wants to mow while Ryan mows.
The boys and I visited Ryan at his new job. It was our first time visiting him at his new building.
Spencer had his first music class on Thursday. Jill, Gavin, Kristi and Liam are also in class with us. Spencer loved all of the songs and following along. His favorite part though was when they got to play with different instruments and dance around.
Ryan took Spencer to his first Hudson high school football game Friday night. It was Hudson's homecoming so the game was packed. Spencer thought he was going to a Packer game and luckily he didn't know the difference. Ryan said he loved watching them run up and down the field and they snacked on popcorn and a cookie.
Auntie and Finley joined us on Saturday for apple picking. Only the picking wasn't very good this year. Most of the trees were picked over already by this weekend. So instead we took a wagon ride, they played on little John Deere tractors, saw goats, and even went for a little kid tractor ride.
Heather and I bought some apples in the store to bring home. We decided to do some apple activities so we made apple stamps and painted while our apple crisp was baking.
The biggest news though is Easton got his first tooth! I'm so excited for our little boy. It was actually Ryan who discovered it while at the apple orchard. The bottom right tooth is just poking through. Hopefully by next week the other one will be coming in. I'm so excited, he's getting so big so fast. He's officially 8 months today!
Here's what our little 8 month old is up to:
*He sleeps about 11 hours at night and takes a morning and afternoon nap.
*He's not always a big bottle eater but loves cereal and veggies.
*He can drink from a sippy cup, just not very well.
*He's been getting himself into the crawling position. I wish he would hold off on crawling for awhile.
*He loves to take baths and play in the water.
*He is a very happy baby and loves to laugh and smile and the simplest things.
Spencer also turned 2 1/2 on Tuesday. He keeps us very busy!
Here's what's new with our 2 1/2 year old:
*He loves sports (that's not really new)
*He can ride his trike up and down the side walk without any help and can go pretty fast.
*He loves to be a helper.
*He knows all of his shapes, colors and animal sounds.
*He repeats and can understand most things you are telling him (now we need to be careful with what we say!)
* He sleeps about 10 hours at night and still takes 1 nap in the afternoon.
*His favorite foods are: Hamburgers, tacos, milk, bread, pancakes and waffles.
"It's red..... IT'S RED! RED MEANS STOP!" This was when I was turning right on a red light.
When taking Easton's play keys he said to us "I will be back in just a minute, I need to go to Target."
While taking him to the bathroom at the mall we were in the stall and while he was going he says "Mommy go poopy!" No....but now everyone around me thinks I am. I heard one lady kind of laugh.
Ryan asked Spencer if he knew my name and he looked at me and said "Mommy a wimp?"
While riding in the car he told me "Turn it down it's too loud for Easton. It will hurt his ears." I'm pretty sure Easton didn't mind the radio as he was fast asleep!
Those are the only few I can remember from this week, more to come next week!
