Our Crazy Life!: 4th of July

With the hot and humid temps we've been looking for ways to stay cool. We played inside a lot this week and if we did venture out it was usually for popsicles or to play in the water.

Spencer had fun at a neighbor girl's birthday party. They started out with face painting.

We had a great 4th of July. We spent it at my parent's with friends and family. We took advantage of the lake with the hot weather. We hardly got Spencer out of the lake to eat dinner. Easton on the other hand prefers to watch from shore or play in the kiddie pool. I was surprised the two older boys stayed awake for the fireworks but both fell asleep right after the show. We didn't see much of Nolan that day. He slept a lot. I found out the next day he had a double ear infection.

Hadley thought Auntie's lap was the perfect spot for a nap.

This was the last we saw of Nolan. I put him down for a nap at 6:00 pm thinking he would be up again. Nope, he didn't get up till 7:00 am the next morning.

Grandpa puts on the best show!

Now at Grandma and Grandpa's Easton gets to sleep in a big boy bed.

The boys hung out at Grandma's while I did a bunch of errands. These pictures would have been cute had the auto focus on my camera been working. Still waiting for my new lens.

This weekend was the 1st annual cul-de-sac olympics. There were 7 houses and 30 people. We divided up into teams and fun games for both the adults and kids. It was a fun and busy day.

We gathered in the morning for a pregame warm up with bloody mary's.

We started with softball.

Easton just ran the bases over and over.

Next we did a relay race around the bases with marshmellows on a spoon. Our team may have cheated a little when Ryan licked the marshmellow and stuck it on Easton's spoon.
