Last weekend seems like forever ago. Probably because I spent most of the week in bed with the worst sore throat/fever/cold you could imagine. Last Sunday though the neighbor girls came over to play. They kept the boys busy for a few hours. Spencer is always asking if we can have play dates with friends.
The boys and I kept busy the rest of the day. Ryan was off to the Packer vs Viking game. We made glitter bags. We used them to make silly faces, we wrote letters and eventually they turned into bombs that the boys threw to the floor. I made sure to double bag them first.
Pinterest is great for giving you ideas of things to do with your kids. But not all pins turn out the way I think they should. I read if you mixed corn starch and shaving cream you would get a fun sensory activity and you would be able to mold it like snow. Well ours didn't turn out like that at all. The boys had fun playing in it though and it wasn't that much of a pain to clean up.
Nolan tried it but didn't care for the feel.....
He had more fun swimming in the bathtub.
They had a family dinner at school. The boys enjoyed having us at their school and eating dinner with their friends.
This week at hockey it was picture night. Spencer asked me if I would ever get to take him to hockey. First dad needs to teach me how to get him dressed and tie his skates.
There is a great website that you can log in and see real reindeer. Then 3 times a day Santa comes out to feed them. The boys LOVE it and watch on the computer and my phone. They are always checking in. They were happy they got to see Santa also.
Spencer is a busy boy and when he finally sits for a minute he usually falls asleep.
Not Easton though.....
The older boys want to be helpers with Nolan. Here they wanted to help feed Nolan.
Grandma signed them up for the Minnesota Wild Kids club. They got a great package in the mail with all kinds of fun things in it.

In the mornings when we drop off at school Easton gets to go to Spencer class room for their "1st breakfast." Typically there are 2 other girls that sit at the table with them. It's become a thing that I think they all look forward to in the morning and Easton loves being part of the big kids group. One of those girls turned 5 and invited both Spencer and Easton to her birthday party. They had a lot of fun.
We went to our neighbor's annual ugly sweater party. We all think Ryan's sweater won. It's the 12 days of Christmas. He thought it was the tie that added the nice touch.
We are currently in our first major snow fall. The boys have been waiting and wanting to go sledding. Spencer woke me up this morning and told me that the snow was finally covering all of the grass. That meant we could go sledding.
Poor Nolan he just got stuck in the snow. With the snow gear on and it being deep there was no hope for him.
Even I went down the hill a few times.
He tried to crawl through the snow and ended up with a face full. So basically him and I sat in the snow and watched all the others go down the hill.
This is the view from our kitchen window. All the neighbors were out sledding also.
The best part of playing out the in snow? The hot chocolate and rosey cheeks.
Our magic seeds grew Christmas cookies....
Scout hasn't been as creative this week. Maybe next.
