Happy Birthday Spencer!

Last Monday our little big boy turned 3! It's crazy for me to think that 3 years have already gone by. They are right when they say time goes faster as you get older! Here are some pictures of Spencer over the last 3 years.

On his real birthday we had a family pizza dinner party with cupcakes. Spencer got to open his presents. Ryan gave him a few things from when he was little and then his big gift was a bike. He loves his new bike and does great riding it!

 For his real birthday party we went to Chaos water park. I can't even tell you how much fun he had. I think over all everyone had a really good time. Spencer loved going up and down the slide at least 100 times. When he got cold and hungry he told us he was ready to get out. He ate 3 slices of pizza, had ice cream cake and opened presents. It wasn't long though and he was asking to go back into the water. He out lasted everyone in the pool and was still swimming long after everyone had left. Thank to everyone who came from far and near to make his day so special. He is a VERY lucky boy to have so many friends and family to celebrate with!

 Finally after Spencer was all done swimming. We had to wait for him to tell us! We went back to Grandma and Grandpa's. He had a quick nap and then Grandpa and Grandma showed him his final birthday present...

 

On Thursday this week we had his check up here's how our 3 year old checked out..

Height: 38 1/2 inches (75%)

Weight: 34.6 pounds (75%)

BMI: 16.4 (Healthy)

BP: 80/44

She asked him a lot of questions and he was able to answer them all and then some. She thought he seemed healthy and didn't have any developmental concerns. The only thing she did question was his hearing. Awhile back when I had Easton in for his tubes appointment the Dr commented that Spencer's ears also didn't look great but not awful. His Dr agreed so we did the hand held hearing test and he seemed to hear all the beeps. So it's something we will have to keep an eye on.

We are really trying to teach him about "healthy" and "sugar" snacks because he would eat sugar stuff all day if we let him!

Loves Cartoons: Dora, Curious George, Shrek and pretty much anything else we will let him watch.

Talking:

He is my talker. The stuff that comes out of the kids mouth surprises me sometimes. He loves to record himself on my phone and play it back. He knows his ABC's and does ok at counting. He's started reading books back to us. I think my favorite thing he says is "Mommy.....I love you!" He says it all the time and every time it melts my heart!

Personality:

He is a very loving and caring. He loves his brother very much and will usually tell you he's a mommy's boy. He can be very competitive, if you want him to do anything like get dressed fast you have to make a game of it. He also loves winning! I will try very hard to beat him at a game or something just so he knows what it is like to not win. He can also be a little trouble maker and stubborn. He loves to take toys away from Easton and will fight with every ounce he has for something he wants. It's those times that I have to pick and choose what's really worth fighting over. Over all though we couldn't ask for a more special little boy. We love him very much and couldn't imagine our lives without him.
