Harlem Globetrotters!

Spring here looks like this...... 

This is a picture Ryan took Thursday morning outside of his work.

The weather has finally gotten to me and I'm so crabby it's not getting nicer out. It might be the fact that I thought Spring was FINALLY coming and then we got snow again. This causes long commutes to work and stir crazy kids. Doesn't mother nature realized we are so tired of playing with the toys inside the house and we are ready to get outside again. Even though the weather isn't the best we are still trying to meet outside with the neighbors a few times to burn off energy. The latest news for our cul-de-sac is that we are getting another set of neighbors and she also has 3 boys. That makes for 13 boys and 5 girls between 6 houses. Ten of the 13 boys are 5 and under.

If you saw my sisters post on FB you will know she was talking about Finley wanting a garden. This is the only plant we seem to have kept alive longer then a week. The boys got little pots from the Easter bunny. The nice thing about these is how fast the grass grew.

The boys thought it was fun to cut the grass or hair as we call it.

Zoey isn't doing well. We've noticed a lot of changes this week in her. She's stopped eating her dog food and doesn't drink much water. Her activity level has also decreased. Thankfully we were able to get her to eat some hamburger and rice. She also struggles taking her meds. My heart breaks for her, we'll see what happens over the next week.

The boys and I hung out in the gym this week when it was snowing. They have toddler time during the week. They leave the mats out for the kids to do tumbling.

We also had a play date. Spencer can frustrate me at times when friends come over. He gets all excited and they play for 20 minutes and then it's like he's done or not interested anymore. He doesn't want to play and would rather just hang out on my lap. It doesn't matter who the friend is. Yet when it's time for them to leave he freaks out and doesn't want them to go. Thankfully Easton always wants to play.

Since it was still snowing on my other day off we headed to the Giggle Factory. Seriously, mother Nature... I'm running out of indoor activities!

Amanda and I attempted to bring all 6 boys to Pizza Hut for lunch. It was busy with a large birthday party in the back room so we were hoping we would blend into the crazy. I'm pretty sure we still stood out and people around us were looking at us like we were nuts. We both agreed our lives can only get easier with each year. Or at least that's the hope we hold onto.

Auntie told us the Harlem Globtrotters were coming into town and got us tickets. The boys had a blast meeting some of the players before. They thought it was great that they got to try some of their tricks. If you ask them what they liked most about the night they will say "Tiny" one of the players that's over 7 feet tall. They got sprayed with water during one of the skits by the players and thought that was a lot of fun!

Spencer says he's over his fear of mascots. After seeing Globey I would say there is still fear there. He kept a close eye on him and refused to have his picture taken with him or go to the side of the gym he was standing on.

If you think the little mascot scared him, this blow up one just about took his breath away!

Nolan had a pretty awesome baby sitter. Peter who just turned 16 came out to Grandma's to watch him. He then got to spend a few days at Grandma's house. I think he enjoyed his alone time.

We would prefer to be playing basketball in our driveway instead of spending our time at the gym.

Ryan took the older boys out for dinner.

We brought home glow stick glasses from the wedding we were at last weekend for the boys.

Maybe they do love each other.

Easton is a little fish and is moving right along in his swim lessons. He passed this current class and is now ready for the big pool. He will be a Eel in the next session.

Spencer's lead teacher is leaving so before she left we had conferences with her. Over all he got high remarks and scored 1's out of 5 in all areas. The comments she wrote were: So Sporty! Getting more and more careful with coloring in the lines. Loves sharing stories. So curious! Is very proud of knowing answers. Uses great table manners. Always sings the alphabet song when washing his hands. Great helper and very cooperative. Loves to clean and organize. So ready for kindergarten. The only thing she said was sometimes he over shares. Meaning when it comes to playing with friends he typically gives in and shares what he has when they may be throwing a fit even if it's something he really wants to play with or do.

We finished off our weekend with a visit to the local fire department for their pancake breakfast. The boys had fun eating in the fire station and exploring the fire truck.
