Spencer turned 6 on March 21st. He is so excited that it now takes 2 hands for him to count how old he is. It's crazy to think how fast 6 years have gone and how much our lives have changed in those 6 years.
We had Spencer on good Friday and brought him home on Easter Sunday. I cried the night we got him home knowing how fast time was going to go and I wasn't ready for him to grow up and go off to Kindergarten (yes the post baby hormones were kicking in!)

He was lucky and celebrated his first birthday in Mexico. He took his first steps a week later at his birthday party.
He had an Elmo themed birthday party. There was a book with Elmo in it that he had memorized. Everyone told me I should write things down as they start talking and or doing fun/cute things. At the time I thought "How could I ever forget how cute this or that is." It's true though I'm thankful for this blog over the years. It's truly a story of their lives.
He had his 3rd birthday at the water park....
He loves being a big brother and he makes a great brother to both Easton and Nolan. When we were in Mexico this year there was a kid trying to pull Easton under the water. The fear in Spencer's eyes broke my heart to see him that upset. He did exactly what we've always told him to do and that was come and get us. He loves his brothers.
He's lucky that his birthday falls on spring break. I just hope he knows that when it's his golden birthday and he turns 21 I will be tagging along to wherever his destination is to make sure he survives to see 22!
Every year gets better and better watching him grow up and see him trying out and learning new things.

Easton's reaction. It's hard watching your brother get fun gifts..... Trust me Easton I know the feeling! I felt the same way when Auntie Heather got her discman and I had to wait until I was older.
He's looking so much older.
So a glimpse into the world of Spencer: First he has no fear. He's will to try everything at least once. There isn't a sport he doesn't like. He's always wanting to push the envelope and go faster, longer and more crazy. He's got a soft side to him also. He cares for his friends and gets upset if they are upset. He prefers to be active. He wants to play outside, games and be on the move. He's willing to try new foods and loves a lot of different things. Very rarely does he allow me to pack him a lunch for school he prefers hot lunch (that might say something about my cooking.) He enjoys going to school and seeing his friends. His teachers seem to enjoy having him in class. We just got his 2nd report card and he made some great improvements since the start of the year!
Spencer: Your mom and dad are truly proud of the boy you are becoming. We are blessed to have you as our son and are excited to watch you grow and take on new things in this world. Our hope in life for you is that you have fun in all the things you do. We love you!
Do you know what happens when you don't post for 2 weeks? Things get mixed up and I forget what we even did 3 days ago! So in random order here is our recap from the last two weeks!
I was on call so Ryan was flying solo with the boys and decided to take them bowling. I got a message that said he could tell they were tired but doing well.
This is how Nolan would stand after he pushed his ball down the ramp!
To their surprise Nolan came in the winner! Maybe we have a future pro bowler on our hands!
The Metrodome is no more! Ryan made sure to drive past and get pictures!
Easton continues to enjoy karate. We are only going to continue for a few more weeks and then take a small break from activities. It will be nice to not rush anywhere after work/school.

Easton got to do "Try Hockey For A Day." He did great and was so excited it was finally his turn out on the real ice with his stick.
Spencer went to watch and pouted/whined the whole time Easton was out on the ice. Apparently he's not used to being the one on the side lines. It's frustrating to listen to him but it's good for him to finally be the one sitting out the activity.
It's rare moments like this when they all get along.
We enjoyed another day of playing at the gym with our friends.
Spencer's school had a game night. They also had a station of arts and crafts. Spencer enjoyed hanging out with friends outside of school.

The temps are getting warmer up here. So we've been taking advantage and getting outside. I long for the days though when getting ready to go outside doesn't take 20 min and I don't have to dry everything after coming back inside.
We are ready for spring and to play with our outside toys again!
I seriously think its going to take all spring/summer for our snow to melt. We can't even go in the back yard because it's to deep. Spencer wanted to try sledding but trying to get back up the hill was a pain. Easton and Nolan didn't even attempt it!

We are getting ready for vacation around here. Our friend Suzie sent the boys swim suits. They were super excited and can't wait to wear them when we are gone. Thank You Suzie, you are so good to our boys!
The packing has been a slow process for the past 2 weeks. First getting out all summer stuff and making sure everything fits. I had to order almost all new stuff for Spencer. Apparently he grew over the winter!
Having 2 kids (Spencer and Finley) wearing stuff before you leaves you lots to pick from. Easton is set for summer shoes.
We headed to the MOA with Auntie, Finley, Hadley and Grandma. Our little twins! They are so cute.
They are also getting so big and like to stick together.
Causing troubles while we tried to get a little shopping done. Thankfully the mall was pretty empty.
We couldn't leave the mall without going on a few rides. Easton did great and loved the rides.
Nolan started out liking the rides. I got to go on most of them with him because he's too short.
That was until he did the fly boat. He was excited when he got on. He's ready to go.
He started to get a little nervous going up.....
Then he freaked on the way down!
Poor kid is traumatized and wont go on another ride!
We headed out to dinner with our neighbors.
Amanda in the picture above is currently in Mexico so we helped Chris out Friday morning before school. I think the boys like playing together before getting on the bus!

I decided on Friday that maybe I wouldn't nap Nolan. We had a busy morning and it was getting late. Well I looked over and he was sound asleep in the chair. I guess he needed a nap.
The boys think it's fun when we toss down their pjs to stand at the bottom of the stairs to try and catch them. I dread the day something other then pjs gets tossed down.
Nolan is easily entertained by the coffee maker.
The boys are crazy during bath time. With the weather cold and not being able to get outside much they seriously take 45 min long baths.
Either we have a mouse or Nolan has figured out where we keep the apples in the fridge!
Random sleeping is just another night in our house!
I can't remember if I posted this pic or not. This morning I found Spencer sleeping on the floor in the bathroom.
The temps hit 30s/40s this weekend. Grandma agreed to watch Nolan so we could take the boys skiing. This trip wasn't as much of a success as the first. They had fun going down the hills but Spencer struggled getting on the chair lifts and we just couldn't find little enough hills for Easton. We tried a new place this time but I think we will be going back to Welch. Over all it was a nice day and we were happy to be outside. I promised Spencer on the chair lift that he could take a snowboarding lesson next winter.
Spencer and I were trying to get on a chair lift. I don't know what happened but he didn't sit down and was just kind of dangling. So Spencer got his wish, he got to ride up on a chairlift by himself. Ryan was already riding with Easton so it was our only option. He did fine sitting and getting off. Now he just needs to master getting on! Those chair lift operators have to have a lot of patience.
Easton was ready for a snack and counting out how many bites he needed to have before I would let him have more Cheetos.
We stopped for dinner on our way home and he almost fell asleep!
Congrats to my friend Amanda on the arrival of her son Henry. He's so darn cute and I loved visiting him and getting my baby fix.
So the biggest news in our household is that I'm going to be a stay at home mom starting at the end of May. There have been a lot of changes around here and Ryan and I have decided if we can make it work to have me home now is the time while the boys are still little. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time about it, but look forward to the change! Hey, maybe now I will have more time to blog and wont miss weeks! :)
That means I get to spend more time with these nuggets. This may be my craziest idea yet!
