Last Sunday it was nice out so the boys and I rode our bikes (Easton and Nolan were in the trailer) to a near by park. I thought I would kill some time away from home so Ryan could watch the Packer game. The boys had fun and I think Ryan enjoyed the quiet time. Have I mentioned yet how much I don't like football season. The games can predict how our week is going to go or at least our Sunday's / Monday's will be.
I must have been feeling brave this week. On one of our stay home days I took the boys swimming. Getting there was fine, going swimming was fine the boys did really well and seemed to really enjoy swimming. Getting dressed and ready to go home was crazy in the locker room. Trying to get all 3 showered, dried off and changed is a challenge.
Spencer begged for me to paint his toe nails for 2 days. Finally I gave in. Once 1 foot was done he started acting like the next pictures.....
He was freaking out because he didn't want Ryan to see his painted toes and tell Aaron Rodgers. When I assured him that Ryan wouldn't he responded with "But mom what if I go to a packer game and Aaron comes over to talk to me and gives me a hug and sees them."
So after I had both feet painted and he insisted that the toe nail polish was hurting his feet we washed it off. By the way my kids have goofy toes!
Easton got up early one morning before school. It was about 5:00 am. Ryan and I were up getting ready so we put him in our bed until it was time to get dressed. Can you see him under his blankets?
Grandma and Grandpa brought this book home from the Ryder cup. Easton wanted to read to me that night. I should add I had a proud mom moment when Spencer read Easton a book before bed.
Easton and I had our date night on Thursday. He was excited his milk came in a coffee cup and kept calling it his coffee over and over. I love my one on one time.
We tried on Spencer's hockey gear. This week we registered him for winter hockey. He will get to play on a team. They will practice / play 2 times a week.
Easton tried his skates on also. He's excited to play hockey on the pond by our house this year.
Nolan's hair is long even after I got it cut. I just can't cut off all of his curls. Though some seem to not be growing back in. According to his teachers like his older brother Easton he begged to have a pony in his hair at school when they were putting them in the little girl's hair.
Grandma taught the boys how much fun small pancakes are that you can dip in syrup. I don't LOVE this way of eating them cause they drip syrup all over themselves but if it gets them to eat I'm all for it.

So when it was Nolan's turn he did the same thing.
Friday I went to EC to help Grandma with thrift sale stuff. This is the room with all of the equipment. I kept loosing Nolan in here....
This is a crazy group.....
We had Easton's follow up with the ENT doctor on Friday. Easton checked out well. The doctor thought things were healing nicely. The tubes were in open and clear. It's Nolan though that will be next to get tubes. He's battled ear infection on and off. There is fluid in his ears right now but it's not infected. He sorta passed his hearing test. He was scared of the toys that light up so we didn't get a good evaluation. She did say though that his ear drums didn't vibrate hardly at all when she tested them. So I will need to call and set up that appointment. It's not even cold and flu season yet!
Getting a good picture of the 3 of them can be such a challenge. We were trying to send a picture to Ryan who was having some alone time at home. Here's how it goes.....

Grandma and Grandpa were staying in a hotel on Saturday night in Hudson. Finley and Hadley were staying with them while Auntie attempted at getting a full nights sleep before her race on Sunday. So Ryan brought the boys over to swim.
The boys wanted to go in the hot tub so bad but it's only for adults. Later while they were swimming a guy started up the hot tub, the boys were so curious.
Sunday Morning Kristi, Jill and I got up early, bundled up and headed down town to watch Heather in the race. Can you believe we missed her running past us at the 5 mile mark. We were all ready and watching. We got the text from my mom that she had passed them. A little bit later we got the text notification that she was already past us at mile marker number 6!
So we drove and waited by mile number 15. Finally we saw her coming around the corner. We were so excited to see her!
The last 6 miles and I'm sure Heather will fill you in on that part in her blog is a LONG hill. We thought she would / could use some motivation up the hill so we waited at mile 21.5. We knew we wouldn't see her cross the finish (it was crazy busy downtown) but we wanted to cheer her on 1 last time. She was looking tired but great!
We met her after the race. I'm so proud she did it! I can't imagine running for 3 1/2 hours or 26.2 miles. I'm so proud of her and glad I'm got to be there to watch her complete this goal. Yay Auntie!
(Seriously after 26.2 miles if I got down on 1 knee I wouldn't be getting back up!)
