Do you ever get to the point where you feel 100% ready?!?! I had planned an extra day for the kids to go to daycare. This was the day I was going to wrap and finish all Christmas projects before the weekend. I was looking forward to the "me" day. Well needless to say this crazy kid picture below put a damper on the day when he woke up with the flu. I also woke up with an ear infection. Thankfully no one else has gotten the flu.
How many books/toys does one child need to bring to bed?
Keeping Easton's drawers floded and organized is a task I've given up on.
I can't get this picture to turn but this is what Spencer bough for his teacher...
While Easton was home with the flu he thought laying low while watching a movie in his tent was a good idea.
All of the toys took a swim in a pool of bleach! I refuse to have sick kids for the holidays.
Nolan came home with pig tails one day from school.
We are a tad behind on the advent calendar. I think only 1/2 the doors are open.
Nolan found his own tent....
I love that every now and again even if it's just for a few minutes that our kids still love to cuddle.
Our holiday season started off with Spencer's classroom party.
Even Grandma came up to help at the party. He's such a lucky little boy!
After the classroom party we rushed off to downtown Minneapolis to have dinner with Santa at Macy's. The boys were dressed in their Christmas outfits and looked super cute. They were also excited to see Santa.
Spencer was up first. He walked right over and wanted up on his lap. He told Santa he wants Rainbow shoes (I'm hoping he will settle for red/black Nikes) and legos.
Next up was Easton. He wasn't scared at all. He told Santa that he wanted a transformer.
Nolan wanted NOTHING to do with Santa. With a little encouragement I was able to get him close. He finally gave him a high five.
During the dinner the kids were kept entertained. There was a snow fairy. She kept saying over and over how well our boys behaved.
There were carolers..
Spencer requested jingle bells.
Nolan just played shy...
Finally there was a magician. Spencer loved his little tricks.
After dinner we walked through Macy's 8th floor display of The Elf At The North Pole.
The night finished with a larger magic show from the magician.
This would have made a great Christmas card picture.
We had an grown ups only holiday party. It was nice to hang out with all of our friends and not have to be interupted 100 time by the kids. We played a dice game and these were some of the best prizes a santa hat and christmas tree headband.
Grandpa came over to have breakfast with the boys...
Before heading out to clear the pond off from the last snow fall. I truly think this is the reason why Ryan wanted a new snowblower!
Sorta of like being buried in sand. Spencer asked if they would cover him in snow.
Spencer got to have a 6 minute scrimmage during one of the Hudson Cursadors game.
The finished off the night by skating with Santa after the game.
Mrs Clause was there also.
The team players came out to help the kids.
Both sat in the penalty box.
Easton fell asleep that night with his Santa hat on.
They each got new sleds.
While we were out testing the new sleds Spencer ran into a kid that had a snowboard and asked if he could try it out. Now he's begging for one and also things he needs snow googles.
Chippy has mostly been moving again from spot to spot. He's had a few creative days though...
