We Survived Bronchitis!

I honestly wasn't sure with all that was going on this week if we would make it or not. I was starting to go into mommy melt down on Wednesday night.

On Monday we were at my parents house for the Rose Bowl game. The boys put on their Badger football uniforms to cheer them on. To bad it didn't work.

We celebrated Grandma's birthday. Every year we struggle with what to give her and we know how much Bob's House means to her so we bought stuff that she could donate.

Towards the end of the game Grandma started to not feel very well. She was having a lot of pain and felt like she was underwater. After asking her a few question it was off to the ER to get checked out. This would be when Heather and I learned we have a long family history of gall bladder issues. Grandma now needs to have hers out also.

Over the weekend both Easton and Nolan had colds/coughs. Pretty normal around our house this time of year and being in daycare. I took this picture at the beginning of the week.

So now the older boys are taking one of these each day. I'm willing to try anything!

I got a call from daycare on Tuesday to let me know Easton was running a temp of 102 and needed to be picked up. I brought him in thinking for sure it would be his ears. Nope I was way off he had bronchitis. I was home with the boys on Wednesday and I thought Nolan seemed to be getting worse. While I was feeding him a bottle that night I read an email from his teacher saying RSV was confirmed in his room. I quickly called the clinic and within minutes we were on our way. Poor guy had an ear infection and bronchitis. I sat at Target waiting for the 2nd night in a row for our meds. Only this time the prescription was lost in cyber space and since the clinic was closed I couldn't wait all night to see if they would get it. So it was back the next morning. I'm happy to report though they both seem to be getting better! Have I mentioned lately I'm ready for spring!
Grandma took Nolan for us on Thursday night so he wouldn't have to go to daycare and have an extra day to recover. On Friday he got to spend time with Auntie, Hadly and Finley. Thanks for helping us out! It looks like he had a lot of fun!

We decided to take advantage of being one child less and took Easton to his first movie. Chipwreck! The boys liked it. I had to take Easton out of the theater once because he wanted to crawl all over the floor and was starting to get loud. Overall though the boys did a great job watching the movie. Easton keeps talking about the "moo-munks."

Saturday Spencer had a friend over. We've had lots of play dates but usually it's with my friend's kids. This time it was a friend from school and his mom dropped him off to play for a few hours.

This week we also celebrated Uncle Jb's birthday. We had him over for dinner and cake.

Look! Nolan is sitting all by himself! He's getting pretty good at sitting but I don't go to far away.

Spencer had a birthday party for a girl from school. It was the first time I dropped him off and actually left him there to play. This makes me feel like he is becoming such a big boy!

Spencer has become quite the skater. Grandma got him a skating trainer for Christmas for him to hold onto while going around the ice. He can really move fast with it. He likes it because he's finally not falling down 100 times.

Footballs and Hockey sticks have invaded our house! Sadlyy this was just in our basement and only the Packer footballs. Not sure how many non-Packer footballs are in our house!

This week Nolan got to spend a day at home with just mom! I love having 1 on 1 time with my baby.

 Auntie give Nolan "Jean" diapers in the hospital so he here is modeling them for her! Auntie likes to give Nolan diapers. He got some from her for Christmas also. He's hoping she ventures out a bit for his birthday.

Another gift Nolan got in the hospital was a snuggie from Paula. He LOVES to cuddle with it. It puts him right to sleep.

 Liam and Nolan were supposed to be a month apart. Liam came late and Nolan came early so they are only 5 days apart.

 I've officially become hooked to pinterest. Here's Nolan and I making one of the kid friendly recipes I found. He's a big helper.

 I finally hooked up the Kinect for the boys. I need to get a longer cable for behind the TV so for now it's ghetto style with the cords all over the place. Spencer loves to bowl and run in the track and field events. He's really catching on to playing it and knows if he has a good day at school there is a chance he will get to play a game when he gets home.

 Spencer's friend Gavin turned 4. They had his birthday part at the bowling alley. The kids all loved taking turns sending the ball down the ramp and knocking the pins over.

After the birthday party Finley came back to our house to play. The boys did ok for the most part. Spencer was over tired and wasn't in the mood for sharing his toys or his mom with anyone else.

 So I took the boys outside...

 So we taught Finley how to play the kinect.

 I could tell Spencer needed to chill out for a bit and I was tired of listening to him whine so I sent him with Ryan to play on the pond by our house. Finley and Easton had fun though playing play-doh and having a snack.

 Finley fell asleep watching a cartoon. All of the boys were tired from their busy day. When Finley woke up he was ready to go home. He told me he missed his mom and Hadley.

Finley and I had an ice cream treat while we waited for his mom to pick him up.

 I figured out I was pregnant bringing the New Year's of 2008, 2010 and 2011. We still didn't have a wild and crazy night on the town like most. Instead we headed to Auntie's house for a low key wear your sweats and slippers kind of New Years party. The kids had fun playing together and there was plenty of good food. Sadly we didn't make it to midnight we were all pretty tired. We are looking forward to a fun and crazy busy 2012!

We are spending the rest of the weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's. We will be cheering on the Badgers at their Rosebowl party!
