Our neighbor got a new pool. We are hoping to get invited often to come swimming. Spencer was eager to get in and try it out. It was a chilly day and the water temp was only 62 degrees. Needless to say that swim didn't last long!
With the free time I've had (the boys being in school a few more days) I worked on re-organizing the basement. UGH! I found a box of pictures I ordered from Easton's first year of life. They are all out of order and there are so many. This is why I sometimes avoid big projects cause you never know what you are going to find.
This made me mad! I was upstairs getting dressed and I came down to find this mess.
It was time to cut off Nolan's crazy mop head! The best part of getting your hair cut are the suckers. He asked if he could take one for each of his brothers and his dad before leaving.
It was finally here…. The boys had their last day at LMLC Daycare. It's hard to say goodbye to a place that helped raise your kids. I also realized I was taking them out and Nolan still isn't 100% potty trained so that means it's really up to me now! I know the boys are going to miss their friends and teachers but I'm excited to have them home.
I just can't get over this chubby baby face. It doesn't really hit me how fast time is going until I see pictures like this and I get all sentimental. With Spencer's first year of school coming to an end I found myself even more emotional about it. He's ready for school to be done and summer vacation. His year was rough but we are excited for 1st grade.
On Thursday Spencer had his last day of Kindergarten! I've seen a few people post pictures of their kids from the first and last day of school. Some kids change so much over the year. I sort of think Spencer looks the same. Maybe just taller.
I got the boys a few summer toys to celebrate the start of summer. A squirt gun and scuba equipment. I'm looking forward to hanging out with them at the beach!
Nolan is a tad to little for scuba equipment so he got bubbles and a few other sinking toys. He really loves the toys that sink to the bottom of pools/tubs.
It was time to get on the bus one last time for the school year.
Sam and Spencer gave Mr. Eric a thank you gift for making sure they got to and from school safely each day. He's a pretty nice bus driver.
Ryan attended and helped out at Spencer's last day of school activities. They had a Wacky Olympics.
He helped pack up his desk..
If you notice in his classroom most of the kids are sitting at tables and Spencer is at a desk. We actually have no idea why Spencer is at a desk and not a table. Nor does his current teacher. She told me his original teacher had put him there and they decided with the transition of teachers to try and keep things as similar as possible for the kids so she left him in his current spot. This is a reason why I'm glad kindergarten is over and we hope for a better teacher next year! If I had to guess as to why Spencer is at a desk by himself is probably because he was too busy talking or goofing around with friends when he was at a table. There are two other little boys that sit at desks also. I think both Ryan's and my parents can relate to those progress reports from school.
Every year the kindergarten students get paired up with an older student to help with reading and writing. Spencer got paired up with another Spencer. Actually this Spencer lives in our old neighborhood and I know his mom. How cute are they!
Thursday night was baseball. The kids are having a blast playing. I think Ryan and Chris are having more fun putting it all together.

They stopped for a post game treat.
When your dad owns a sporting goods store random equipment shows up at your house. The boys are getting more and more into lacrosse.
My oldest best friend got married this past Friday. Missy was the maid of honor and I was a bridesmaid. Neither of our husbands could make it so we were each other's date for the rehearsal.
My mom actually allowed me to drive her new car!
The 3 of us decided to get our makeup done before the wedding. I love getting all dressed up. It doesn't happen often so its fun to go all out!
Renee and I waiting for the wedding to start!
The back of my hair. The same lady/friend that did my hair for my wedding did my hair for hers.
I'm so happy for Renee. She seems so happy with Scott and I hope the best for the two of them. They couldn't have asked for a better day as the wedding was perfect.
I thought it was neat during the grand march the DJ introduced us and had gotten a little background information from Renee and Scott about us.
Here we are at the end of the night. Beer, pizza and flats. The night was coming to an end!
We went to watch Finley play his last t-ball game. To our surprise the other team was short a bunch of players so I had two little boys who were eager to volunteer.
The downside to having big stuff in your yard is when big storms come and it can blow away. The boy's trampoline is all still intact though.
Molly and Brian invited us over for a shrimp boil. I don't eat sea food of any kind but it was still fun. It's always nice to do different things.
Amanda was brave enough to try shrimp for the first time. I still wasn't willing to give in. Just not my thing.
While cleaning the floor I found a chunk of hair. I asked the boys "Who cut their hair?" No one was willing to admit it was them. Spencer told me he saw Nolan with scissors. I told them the hair was to dark to be Nolan's hair. With no one still admitting to the cutting I started to send them all to their rooms until they could tell me the truth. At that time Easton says to Spencer "Did you see me with scissors?" Spencer said "Yes." Easton then looked at me and said "Is my hair dark enough to be that hair?" I told him it was and that's when he finished with "Well, I think maybe it was me."
Happy Father's Day to Ryan. The boys are lucky to have him for their dad. They are lucky to have a dad that loves them as much as he does, plays with them and hopes nothing but the best for them. We love you Ryan!
Our gift is one that will happen over years and years. Each year the boys and I will plan a trip for them to take and visit one or two of the Major League baseball stadiums. I thought it was something fun that the 4 of them could do together (This is not my idea. I saw an article about this years ago with a father and son who did this and thought it sounded like a great idea). After they travel they get to put a pin into the map of where they have gone. We got him a book so they can read all about the stadium they are going to visit that year.
Getting a picture of the boys all together can be impossible sometimes.
Happy Father's Day to my dad! I couldn't have asked for a better dad growing up. He truly is amazing. He continues to love me through the good times and bad. Thank you dad for all that you have done and continue to do for not only me but my family.
On a final note…… Why do we have nice beds for the boys?
