Two years ago after my hardest/most painful delivery (yes I can still remember the pain I was in!) We welcomed Nolan Ryan into the world.
(Our first family picture)
Our 1 year old!
Let's review the past year in pictures....
I miss those curls!
We were lucky to get some cute hand me down party decorations so Nolan had a Sock Monkey birthday party! The cake was cute as can be! Thankfully we got a few before pictures..
Because when it was Nolan's turn to sit next to the cake he took out the side with his foot and wasn't happy about it.
Ooops!
We had a backyard birthday party with family and friends. Thank you to everyone that came and made his day special. We are lucky to have people who love and care about our kids as much as we do.
Ryan found some Sconnie beer for the occasion. I have to point out that Cary in the blue is a big Minnesota fan and even he approved of the beer.
This is Rory. He is in Nolan's class and often times I get him and Nolan mixed up when I see pictures from behind or log into the webcam at school. Rory is a week younger then Nolan.
Cousin Love!
Finley is by far the best photo bomber ever!
Present time....
Opening his present from Grandma Nancy!
It's hard watching other people open presents. Everyone wanted to help the birthday boy!
For Nolan's actual birthday we spent the day at the beach as a family. I couldn't ask for a better day.
All of the boys waving to me on shore
Yes, he's still wearing his birthday outfit. Uncle JB and Jamie came over to say Hi to the birthday boy.
Nolan got an personalized autographed picture from the other, more famous Nolan Ryan. What a great gift!
This is a famous picture from 1993 when a batter charged the mound on Nolan Ryan. Nolan got the best of him as you can see in the picture.
Next it was time to open our presents.
I had to capture this moment because I think for the first time ever they are all playing together.
Aunt Renee sent Nolan this cute Packer shirt.
This week Heather and I attempted pictures of all the littles together plus some individual pictures. I give the photographer major credit if he got one good shot. Our kids are at such a challenging age getting them all to sit and look at the same time.
I bribed my kids with the Children's Museum. If they were good during pictures I would take them to the museum.
These two were cracking me up following the karate video.
Spencer was pretending he was in a band. I had to laugh as the girls next to the boys were dancing up a storm and my kids were frozen in their spots.
We stopped at my favorite place on our way out. Candy Land!
Every year Grandpa Ron's side of the family rents a beach home for a week. Ryan decided to surprise everyone with a visit and brought Easton and Spencer. They had a blast swimming, playing at the beach and fishing.
Great Grandma Klaas making her way to the beach
Easton and Grandpa Ron spending some quality time together
Easton's first fish! Look close, it blends in with Ryan's shirt!
We have some very exciting news! Davey and Aunt Renee are engaged!
Congrats to them!
While the older boys were with Ryan that meant Nolan and I got to have a day together. I took him for a morning run.
and to the beach...
He's a little fish!
This is Nolan's signature dance move.
Easton got invited to his first birthday party. One of his friends from school turned 4. They had it at the gymnastics center. Easton was so excited that he was the only one from our family that got to go and not his brothers.
Easton and the birthday girl Olivia. He say's she's not his girlfriend, but he sure talks about her a lot.
For the second year I did the Twin Cities Color Run. Last year was special because it was my first 5k. This year was also special because I ran with my friend Brook for her first 5k. If you don't know who she is, check out her blog "The Bergs." She did awesome and I'm so proud of her.
This year was packed!
Putting their chip bags on their feet. I later figured out Easton still had chips in his and was eating them after.
There version of playing store. Locking a brother outside!
Flying big airplanes is exciting.
You never know where you will find Spider Man!
I know girls will touch gross things but yuck! Spencer carried around this dead minnow for a couple of hours!
Ryan sent me this picture from his work. This poor girl was gone on vacation in Hawaii an they filled dixi cups full of water and put them all over her cube.
Spencer and Easton had the giggles one night after Easton hit his head on the bed frame!
I let Spencer play with my ipad one night and found these the next day...
