My sister ran her 2nd marathon and is an official Boston Marathon qualifier! I enjoyed going around the course to cheer her on. I have no desire to ever run that far. We loaded up Jill's car and we were off to our first spot.
We waited for her to come at mile 3. Here come the elite runners. Such a stunning group of athletes. Our conversation while waiting for her always sounds the same "Do you think we missed her? She should be here any minute! I think we missed her!" Just as we were losing hope that we missed her there she would be.
This time we came prepared with fun signs.
If you know this Twin Cities marathon at all you know that from mile 22-25 it's steady incline. We were thinking at one point we would be waiting to cheer her on at the hill.
We opted not to be on the hill and instead cheer her on when she might need it the most. We waited for her at mile 25.5. I knew my parents would be waiting for her at the finish and I wanted to see her cross the finish line but I think we were in the right spot at the right time.
Congrats to Rachel and Heather for finishing the race.
They had a few people watching over them during the race. A good friend/running partner Cheri and Rachel's mom Sharon.
Ryan spent a few days in Canada again. He brought home an Edmonton Oilers jersey for all the boys.
I love decorating for fall.
Fall also means you can enjoy popcorn and hot chocolate.
Spencer was SO excited to have his name read on the loud speaker as one of the top Box Top collectors for the month at the school.
This is seriously how much stuff I have to bring to school for Easton and Nolan. They only go 2 days!
Monkey pile on mom….
Football pictures for Spencer….
Spencer doing his homework. He had to write sight words in sugar or salt.
Nolan has become a little trouble maker lately. One day he came downstairs complaining something hurt in his nose. I quickly took a look and found a tic tac candy in his nose!
A few days later he attempted to flush a hockey puck down the toilet.
Every morning Nolan rides his bike, Easton rides his scooter and Spencer pogo sticks down to the bus stop. I'm hoping when it's below zero they don't all feel the need to go to the bus stop.
I put Ryan in charge of dinner.
I also asked him to help finish picking up the garage. While in the attic he put his foot through the ceiling and ripped off a large piece of the sheet rock.
The kid are always taking random pictures with the iPad.
This is one of our babysitters Morgan.
Easton had the iPad at soccer while Spencer was playing….
This isn't how Easton fell asleep but this is how we found him in his room a few hours later.
It was the last Hudson football game. Ryan couldn't find the boys at one point… but then soon found them by where the elementary school girls we're practicing their cheerleading routine. Sounds like trouble!
We also had our fall family photo session. Look how cute they all look!
A post we survived family pictures picture.
We introduced the boys to walking tacos.
We also spent a day at the Children's museum.
It wasn't worth the battle and I decided to just say "yes" to them coloring their own faces.
Easton lives in his own little world where apparently this is an appropriate way to dress for the weather.
This just spells trouble.
Waiting for his brothers to get home so they could go to the pumpkin patch.
Grandma brought the boys with Auntie, Finley and Hadley to the pumpkin patch.
We made a quick trip down to Madison and back. We helped celebrate Grandpa Ron turing 60!
Grandma let the boys sleep in our bed until we got home…
