Renee Gets Married and Vacation In The Dells….

This post is going to be in random order and you will get your fill of pictures. Ok time to get caught up on life…..

The boys finished their baseball season. We got a lot of compliments on our little league that we had this summer. We finished the season with a pizza party before their final game.

Hmmm.. the coach was busy taking selfies!

Easton landing on 3rd!

Spencer's turn running to 3rd!

We had a follow up with the ENT doctor for Nolan. He's healing well from his surgery. We talked about the fact that Nolan has a very nasal sound when he talks. The doctor said sometimes it take a bit after surgery for things to correct. My only concern was that Nolan sounded nasally before the surgery and seems about the same since. He referred us to have a speech evaluation. We will set one up in Hudson and check out what services he would qualify through the school district.

After his appointment we enjoyed swimming at one of Grandma and Grandpa's friend's pools. It's amazed us how well the boys are swimming this summer. They LOVE the water.

Our neighbor Amanda and Sam joined us also.

They LOVE scuba gear this year also.

Almost every day I make Nolan lay down for rest time. He NEVER falls asleep. It isn't until about 3-4 pm that he will crash. This isn't the best time of the day to nap! But he's so darn cute when he's sleeping.

TMI GROSS ALERT!!! If poop freaks you out keep scrolling down fast!

I never thought I would have to deal with poop on the walls but we have a bit of a mystery. I found a pull up under the sink one day in the boys bathroom. It was a poopy one and I couldn't figure out how it got there! A few days later I found poop on Nolan's wall and something on his floor when I moved his laundry basket. It was all starting to add up! Nolan has a habit of taking his clothes or pull up off at nap time. I'm guess this day he was pooped. He throws it into his laundry basket. I'm guessing he was trying to cover his tracks! Seriously, so gross!

When asking him what he thought was on his walls he said "I dunno…. maybe it's play dough!"

Spencer had his regular teeth cleaning appointment. As usually nothing in this family is normal or regular!

They did a fancy x-ray to look at all of his adult teeth coming in. We found out that Spencer has 1 extra tooth and it's in the middle of his two front teeth. We also learned it's upside down.  All the other teeth you see below his baby teeth are normal adult teeth working their way in. So we are off to see an oral surgeon about having those removed.

What better way to celebrate clean teeth then a trip to DQ!

We went to a small local pool to cool off. It's not a fancy pool. They have no slides or diving boards but the boys still had fun jumping in and swimming.

For Nolan's birthday we got him a butterfly habitat. We ordered our caterpillars and they were shipped to our house. This is about the grossest package I've ever gotten!

But our boys LOVE gross things. They spent one morning digging for worms. YUCK!

On Tuesday's our theater offers discount ticket prices so we saw the movie Planes. Thankfully we were sitting at the top because Nolan had a hard time sitting still for the 2nd half of the movie.

After the movie we went to Spencer's school to play on the play ground. Easton is working so hard at mastering the monkey bars. He can now go about 4-5 bars before dropping. Even little Nolie can make it to one bar.

Our friends have a garden and was nice enough to share some green beans with us. The boys LOVED them.

I caught him napping again!

To cut his hair or let it keep growing a bit…..that is the question around here! Ryan took the boys to a local park mid-week.

We are adding some changes to our house. We are finally getting our built ins next to our fireplace!

I'm also updating the boys bathroom to make it more big boy. Bye bye monkeys and hello blue and white chevron!

A week ago we packed up our car and the boys and started the 5 hour drive to Milwaukee. We were on our way to Aunt Renee's wedding. We made a pit stop at Culver's on the way.

I had the boys do a few exercise moves before getting back in the car.

Friday night was  rehearsal. Both Ryan and Easton were in the wedding.

Easton was so excited that he got a present for being in the wedding. Spencer couldn't have been more jealous. He has a hard time understanding that sometimes in life he doesn't get to do everything. Usually he gets to do it first.

Grandpa Ron joined us for breakfast the next day and realized how busy breakfast with 3 little boys can be!

Ryan sent me these photos from the church when they were getting ready. How CUTE is he!

Cousin Caden and Grandpa looking sharp!

Uncle Davy and Easton before the wedding!

We couldn't be more happy for the two of them! They seem to be a perfect pair. Their wedding was perfect. Thank you for letting Easton be a part of your big day!

We were waiting for the bridal party to come to the reception!

The grand march!

We kept the kids busy during dinner with the iPads. It's a lot of sitting and waiting for little kids at a wedding!

This past weekend we packed up our caterpillars to go spend the weekend with the neighbors while we took off for the Dells.

We checked into our room and got unpacked. This time the drive was only 3 hours, WAY easier with the boys. Ryan had to work late and met us later in the Dells. It didn't take him 3 hours to get to the Dells and he has the speeding ticket to prove it!

The first night we went to the Tommy Bartlett Water Ski Show. The boys were in aww and can't wait till they can do tricks like that!

The show finishes with a hang glider coming in for a landing….

While we were in the Dells we enjoyed a few fun summer drinks by the pool. Lots of swimming and going down water slides…..

Grandpa even snuck in a few pool side naps!

Nolan LOVED swimming underwater and he's getting so good at it!

We all floated down the lazy river….

Easton loved going down the mat slide. I didn't realize until we got to the top of the slide how much it would twist and turn and that he would be alone on a mat. My last words to him before going down the first time was "whatever you do do not let go of your mat!" I said a little prayer for him and off we went. He LOVED it! He wanted to go over and over again. He even got the big boys to go down with him.

Here he comes….

He looks so little!

Just one of the big boys!

We even got Finley to go down the water slide on the last day…..

Our friends were also there with us. The Twite family is the only family really brave enough to travel with us! I have to say Thank You to their sons Simon and Peter for taking care of Spencer this weekend. Spencer loves the big water slides and I agreed that he could go around the park with the big boys. I actually didn't see much of Spencer during the day as he was off with them.

Resting after a hard day of swimming!

The nice thing about the Wilderness is they have lots of out door pools to go to and each one is different.

They also have an indoor park. We took Easton and Hadley on a big tube slide. I was laughing thinking about how scared Hadley probably was the ride was pitch black the whole way!

Water bumper cars….

Poor Auntie and Finley got trapped in the corner! She was soaked!

But quickly got even!

We ate most of our meals in the room….

You would think with all the swimming the kids did each day they would pass out by 7:00 pm. Not our kids! They typically made it until 10:00 pm! They did make up for it in the morning though by sleeping in until 9:30 am.

Ryan took the boys to the arcade one night.

Posing with the Wilderness mascot.

Uncle Patrick thought it would be fun to throw me in the lazy river.

We finished off our weekend adventure with a ride on the WI Dells Ducks! It's been a loooong time since I've been on the Ducks and Ryan never had before. The kids were excited. Even if Finley did think it was boring!

They have to be the cutest little cousins!

Finally it was time to head home. We had a great vacation and hope to go back again next year! Spencer fell asleep with the marker still in his hand, one tired 6 year old!

Unpacking and working on the blog….

We just got back from WI Dells. We have lots of unpacking to do and I'm waiting for some of the pictures from Heather. Hopefully I will post later this week. It's a very busy month for us!
